Uma roda na EMBAP

Ontem fui dançar com os alunos de Licenciatura em Música da Belas Artes. Além de rever a minha velha escola, de onde sou cria e onde trabalhei por alguns anos, foi uma oportunidade de divulgar a importância do trabalho com o corpo na Educação Musical.
Obrigada a todos que participaram - nos vemos em 15 dias!

Yesterday I danced with the students of Music Education at the Belas Artes (School of Music and Arts). Besides visiting my old school, where I studied and later taught for some years, it was an opportunity to divulge the importance of working with the body in Music Education.

Gestern tanzte ich mit den Studenten der Musikerziehung an der hiesigen Hochschule für Musik und Kunst. Neben einem Besuch in der alten Hochschule, wo ich selbst studierte, und später für ein paar Jahre unterrichtete, war es eine tolle Gelegenheit über den Wert der Bewegung in der Musik zu sprechen.
Mein Dank an alle die mitmachten - wir sehen uns in 2 Wochen!

"Die Musik fängt im Menschen an, und so die Unterweisung. Nicht am Instrument, nicht mit dem ersten Finger oder mit der ersten Lage, oder mit diesem oder jenem Akkord. Das Erste ist die eigene Stille, das In-sich-Horchen, das Bereit-Sein für die Musik, das Hören auf den eigenen Herzschlag oder Atem. So grundlegend sollte das Hinführen zur Musik beginnen, so allgemein, so umfassend, so von innen heraus, für Kinder wie für die Großen,.... Es sei, um alle Mißverständnisse von vornherein auszuschließen, betont, daß hier von keiner musikalischen Fachbildung gesprochen wird, sondern von den Gegebenheiten und der grundlegenden Stufe, die dem eigentlichen Musikunterricht und aller Musikübung vorausgehen sollte, von der Vorbereitung, dem Weg zur Musik, und der ersten Rodung, die für jeden Menschen, dem Musik etwas bedeuten soll, gleich wichtig ist." Gibt es überhaupt was besseres als richtig laut zu lachen, und dabei das Lachen der anderen zu hören?

Erweiterung: Manchmal ist ein Tanz eher introspektiv. Das Gefühl teilen die anderen im Kreis miteinander, und unterstützen sich gegenseitig im Tanz.

Finalmente um curso! Parte II

Acabo de passar mais um final de semana dançando, e dessa vez com a alegria de estar com dois bons amigos, a Lígia e o Domingos. Acho que eles estranharam um pouco me ver na pele de aluna - bom demais! (bordão roubado do nosso mestre William)
O reencontro com os participantes do primeiro módulo também foi especial, e os olhares trocados tiveram um significado maior que da primeira vez. E pra complementar, os rostos novos, que eu ainda não conhecia, já se tornaram queridos, e me fazem esperar ansiosa o próximo encontro.
Dessa vez fui descarada e avisei que ia tirar fotos. Pra continuar sentindo o gostinho do fim de semana que passou...

Just spent another weekend dancing, and this time I was lucky to be with two good friends, Lígia and Domingos. I think they found it weird to see me as a student - too good! (quote by William)
Meeting the participants of the first round was special as well, and the looks we exchanged were more meaningful than at the first time. And last but not least, new faces, which I did not know, are already dear to me, and make me excited about the next meeting.
This time I was just obnoxious, and said I was taking photos. To keep the feeling of the weekend...

Hab gerade das ganze Wochenende durchgetantzt, und diesmal hatte ich die Freude, wieder mit zwei guten Freunden zu sein, Lígia und Domingos. Die fanden es warscheinlich komisch, mich mal als Schülerin zu sehen - nur zu gut! (meinem Lehrer William nachgequatscht)
Die Teilnehmer des ersten Treffens wiederzusehen war auch besonders, und die ausgetauschten Blicke waren bedeutungsvoller als die beim ersten mal. Dazu kamen noch neue Gesichter, die ich nicht kannte, aber die mir schon lieb sind, und auf deren Wiedersehen ich mich schon freue.
Diesmal war ich einfach frech, und erklärte: Ich mach mal ein paar Fotos. Um den Geschmack des Wochenendes etwas länger beizubehalten...

O que eu disse em Bogotá...

Não falei muito mais do que quatro ou cinco minutos, pois não queria perder tempo falando. Mas disse aquilo em que acredito. Quando nos damos a oportunidade de deixar a música fluir, a sua associação com o movimento abre em nós canais de uma compreensão que não sabíamos existir.

I didn't speak more than four or five minutes, once I didn't want to waste time talking. But I told in what I believe. When we give ourselves the chance to let the music flow, its association with movement open channels in our minds of which we did not know.

Ich sprach nicht mehr als vier oder fünf Minuten, einfach weil ich keine Zeit mit Reden verschwenden wollte. Doch sagte ich das, woran ich glaube. Wenn wir uns selbst die Gelegenheit geben die Musik in Verbindung mit der Bewegung fließen zu lassen, öffnet sie in unsere Seelen Kanäle von denen wir nichts wussten.

Uma roda em Bogotá

A sala ficou pequena - e eu que estava com medo que não aparecesse ninguém!
No dia 21 de março apresentei um workshop na conferência da associação das escolas internacionais da América do Sul (AASSA) em Bogotá. O tema era "Dançando a volta ao mundo: a dança como uma ferramenta na sala de aula". Acredito que a grande maioria dos participantes não tinha a menor experiência, mas como de costume, as danças cativam por si mesmas. No final o que se via eram rostos afogueados, um pouco sem fôlego por causa dos 2600 metros de altitude em Bogotá, e montões de sorrisos!

The room was crowded - and I was actually afraid that nobody would come!
On March 21st I held a workshop at the annual conference of the international schools in South America (AASSA) in Bogotá. The theme was "Dancing around the world: circle dances as a tool in the regular classroom". I don't think there were many people who were used to circle dances in the room, but as always, the dances delivered their message. In the end, what I saw were warm faces, a little breathless because of the 2600 m in Bogotá, and lots of smiles!

Der Raum war gefüllt - und ich hatte eigentlich Angst gehabt daß keiner kommen würde!
Am 21. März hielt ich ein workshop im Rahmen der Konferenz der internationalen Schulen in Südamerika (AASSA) in Bogotá. Mein Thema hieß "Tanzend um die Welt: Kreistänze als Lehrmaterial im Klassenraum". Ich glaube die Mehrheit der Teilnehmer wußte am Anfang nicht viel mit den Tänzen anzufangen, aber die Tänze haben wie immer ihre das ihre getan. Zum Schluß waren errötette Gesichter zu sehen, ein bißchen außer Atem, der 2600 m Höhe in Bogotá wegen, und ein Lächeln überall!
